Jerry Bridges became the Port of Virginia's Executive Director in 2007. Mr. Bridges is responsible for the broad programmatic areas of marketing, development, finance and promotion of Virginia’s marine terminal facilities located in the Hampton Roads harbor – Newport News Marine Terminal, Norfolk International Terminals, and Portsmouth Marine Terminal – and the Virginia Inland Terminal located in Warren County, Virginia.
Prior to Mr. Bridges’ arrival at the VPA, he served as Executive Director of the Port of Oakland since June 2004. In addition, Mr. Bridges has held various operating positions with Sea Land Services and Roadway Express.

J. J. (Jeff) Keever has served in the Port of Hampton Roads since 1977 when he joined the staff of the Hampton Roads Maritime Association and Hampton Roads Shipping Association. In November 2004, Mr. Keever joined the Virginia Port Authority as Deputy Executive Director and currently serves as the Senior Deputy Executive Director, External Affairs, overseeing Community/Media Relations, Environmental Affairs, and Strategic Planning, and working directly with Executive Director Jerry A. Bridges.

Jeffrey A. Florin is the Deputy Executive Director for Operations and Chief Operating Officer for the Virginia Port Authority, overseeing Engineering and Security for the Port. He joined the Port Authority in 2002 as Chief Engineer to lead the Port’s largest capital development program, resulting in completion of the 50 foot channel, redevelopment of NIT, the Port’s largest container terminal, and federal approval of the 600 acre eastward expansion of Craney Island.

Rodney Oliver is the Deputy Executive Director and CFO for the Virginia Port Authority. He has been with the Port Authority since 1999. Mr. Oliver is responsible for all administrative aspects of the Authority including finance, human resources, information technology, contracts and real estate, and quality management. He also provides leadership in setting the mission, vision, principles, values, strategic plan, and master plan of the Authority.

Russell joined the Virginia Port Authority in 1999 as Managing Director of Marketing, managing Port Authority offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia. As Deputy Executive Director of Development Russell oversees the departments of Business Analysis and Strategy, Promotions and Advertising and Special Projects. He also leads an Economic Development team that identifies and facilitates development opportunities that ensure a strong port infrastructure.
