Reduced Capacity at the Virginia Inland Port – Winter Storm Stella

March 14, 2017

Winter Storm Stella has produced significant snow accumulation in the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  At the Virginia Inland Port (VIP), in Front Royal, 4-5 inches of snow have already fallen.  A winter storm warning remains in effect until 2:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 14.

The safety of our colleagues, our transportation partners, and your cargo is our top priority.  The VIP remains open, but is operating at reduced capacity.  Our onsite operations and maintenance personnel are taking steps to expedite recovery efforts, once the storm has passed.  We will work safely and diligently to restore full cargo accessibility as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your business and for your understanding.  We will update you, our valued customers, as conditions change.
